Unlike many versions of this Bourguignon recipe, traditionally made with beef, we use no meat and no animal products. Got to love that!
This rich stew originates from the Burgundy region of Eastern France, an area renowned for its architecture and wines. Bourguignon was made popular by the famed author, chef and TV star, Julia Child in her 1961 cookbook: “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.” She described this dish as one of the best “dishes concocted by man.”
We think she’d be proud of our vegan version — re-imagined by modern women.
In fact, our vegan version is packed with flavor, nutrition and looks exactly like something you’d order at a romantic French restaurant. Plus, the smell of this elegant dish simmering in your kitchen will have your neighbors begging you for an invitation to dinner!
And, it is great for your health!
Mushrooms reduce bacteria and viruses in the intestinal tract, which enables cleaner blood to arrive to the liver. Mushrooms also contain tryptophan which improves serotonin levels in the body (helping to regulate mood and improve sleep)!
Our vegan Mushroom Bourguignon will delight your taste buds and leave your heart happy and healthy from not eating animal products!
