Soup season has begun and this Vegan News Daily Tom Yum tastes and looks like a delicious hot meal that you’d order from a restaurant in Thailand.
Tom Yum soup is a spicy and sour soup that originated in Thailand. In fact, Tom Yum soup is prepared in virtually every Thai kitchen, with families passing their recipes down through the generations.
Did you know that word “Tom” refers to the boiling process of the soup? This soup is also sometimes called “Tom Yam.” And, the word “yam” refers to the spicy and sour flavor of the soup.
Traditionally, Tom Yum soup is cooked with shrimp and fish sauce. Luckily for the sea creatures and your health, there is absolutely no need to use seafood products in our soup recipe!
Our flavorful soup is made with fresh ingredients such as lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lime juice and crushed red chili peppers and full of fresh vegetables.
This dish is best served piping hot with a garnish of fresh cilantro on top. Our Vegan Tom Yum soup will warm your heart & soul from the inside out and wow your taste buds.
